Product Marketing Manager - Education

Department: Marketing
Location: Coppell, TX

The Product Marketing Manager – Education will drive the strategy and sales across our education product portfolio and will help to develop and refine VARIDESK’s POV in the education space.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as strategic owner of the VARIDESK Education line of products, including building and developing VARIDESK’s point-of-view of the education space and the associated product roadmap
  2. Assist in driving the product lifecycle of VARIDESK Education product, working in tandem with the Product Management team to prioritize and drive product development
  3. Develop and own the competitive landscape and knowledgebase for all VARIDESK Education products
  4. Manage product forecasting with Sales and Product Management teams
  5. Educate and train internal stakeholders on VARIDESK Education product
  6. Work with sales and marketing organizations to build integrated marketing campaigns on behalf of the VARIDESK Education product mix
  7. Assist the sales organization with sales presentations and discussions when appropriate
  8. Serve as a forward-facing advocate for VARIDESK Education at trade events, panels and other PR-related opportunities
  9. Assist in developing data capture opportunities for customers and non-customers, including writing and deploying surveys and holding informal focus groups

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience as a product manager or similar role for an educational furniture company, contract furniture company, or similar
  • 5+ years experience with new product introductions and managing full product lifecycle
  • Deep knowledge of the educational furniture industry (K-12 preferred) and the associated players
  • Prior experience in data gathering and analysis, including 3rd party resources, product reviews, surveys and focus groups

Preferred but not required:

  • Prior experience working with overseas factories, preferably Asian
