Associate Creative Director - Copywriter

Department: Marketing
Location: Coppell, TX

The Associate Creative Director Writer (ACD-Writer) helps define and manage the voice and communication hierarchy for the VARIDESK brand. The ACD-Writer is responsible for brainstorming, creating, and helping lead teams to transform business strategy into persuasive copy for everything from print and collateral to broadcast and digital creative. At times, the ACD-Writer will be required to write copy as well as provide direction for other writers, designers, and art directors.


  • Work with art directors/designers to conceive, develop and execute effective multi-channel advertising campaigns.
  • Write copy for ads, brochures, direct mail, radio, digital banners, emails and other forms of communication.
  • Oversee video and radio production from scripting and storyboarding, to production and final editing.
  • Develop unique concepts that are memorable and on strategy.
  • Work with internal teams to determine project priority, timeline, and budget.
  • Revise, edit, and proofread content for spelling and grammar errors.
  • Work with designers, illustrators, printers, photographers and production companies to execute creative ideas.
  • Manage multiple projects while coordinating with Project Manager to ensure timelines are met and deliverables are accurate.
  • Help creative leadership prioritize and assign work to creative resources.
  • Work with the broader marketing team to develop effective creative briefs.
  • Help maintain VARIDESK Brand Guidelines and copy style guide.
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum 5 years working with a corporate marketing team or agency as a Copywriter, Sr. Writer or Creative Director.
  • Prior agency experience preferred.
  • Online portfolio required for consideration.
  • Excellent reading comprehension, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience presenting creative work to groups.
  • Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and punctual.
  • Working understanding of SEM/SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to be a quick problem solver.
