Manager - Marketing Automation and Email

Vari is looking for a Manager - Marketing Automation and Email to strategize and develop email campaigns designed to drive audience growth, engagement, and lead and opportunity growth. This individual will help shape our email marketing program through testing, application of channel best practices, and creative innovation. This individual will also lead automation efforts in support of marketing and sales operations, including new system implementation and maintaining the necessary infrastructure for lead and opportunity management.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work with our marketing strategy and sales teams to develop execution strategies for email programs that drive engagement, lead growth and improve purchase cycle timelines for opportunities.
  • Own email campaign development (e.g. build, QA, deployment, and analysis).
  • Ideate, lead and implement a/b tests to grow audience and engagement, fostering a test & learn culture
  • Own post-campaign analysis by measuring and establishing KPIs, describe trends through weekly/monthly/ad-hoc reporting of results, sharing key insights to stakeholders
  • Work with internal and external resources to come up with impactful, engaging copy and visuals
  • Identify effective ways to better target subscribers via segmentation & personalization tactics, working closely with our Salesforce and technology teams
  • Lead marketing automation projects, including system implementations and maintenance
  • Lead ESP administration and database management (e.g. list hygiene maintenance and data governance).
  • Provide training and create process docs with stakeholders as needed.
  • Experience with web form creation and events list management

HOW YOU’LL GET THERE

  • 3-5 years of email marketing
  • Prefer 3-5 years of marketing experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Expert knowledge in email best practices (creative, templates, content calendar, segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies, etc), serving as the channel ambassador for the company
  • Understanding of deliverability, CAN-SPAM, CCPA and GDPR compliant practices
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS coding
  • Data-oriented, able to interpret metrics and large data-sets and make decisions based on analysis
  • Extremely detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and a self-starting work style
  • Ability to make sound recommendations that are backed by clear insights and clean data
  • Experience with Pardot and ExactTarget (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and/or similar marketing automation software
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Work with stakeholders and designers to create or iterate email templates based on brand guidelines and email best practices
